The engine is tested externally and visually
- The electrical installation is analysed (set of instruments, alarm functions, dynamo and start battery) -Test engine control for operation and wearTest stationary rotational speed - Test cooling system for any leakage including infrared measurement of temperature - Test reverse clutch for good operation and any strange/abnormal sounds - Inspect and test turbo (if assembled) - Test the lubricant level of engine and drive - Check to see if any water exists in the drive - Test impeller of the outboard pump - Test cooling water level and coolant for ageing - Test V-belts and any tension rollers - Test fuel feed pipes, delivery and cooling water hoses, hose clamps and connections thereof - General test of water, oil and fuel leakage - Test condition of the flexible engine supports - Test fuel-water separator for existing water - Test condition of the air filter - Test condition of the ball valves and cooling system - Test propeller shaft seal - If existing, test power steering oil level and trim oil level - Examine membrane combination and determine the age of the engines with a sailing boat drive. |
